Most of us have been around curious toddlers who constantly ask “why?” They have a natural desire to want to understand the world around them.
Sadly, in our society today, it is no longer permissible to ask “why?” In fact, if you DO ask why, chances are that you will be shut down, censored, de-platformed, shamed and ridiculed.
But in this post, I’m going to behave like a curious 3-year-old and ask a lot of whys. Get ready…. because like most toddlers, I have a lot of them!
The first WHY is about censorship of information.
DISCLAIMER: Please understand that what follows is NOT a commentary about taking or not taking the vaccine. What you believe or don’t believe is a personal choice. This is about the principles of freedom that are at stake.
Government officials say that any information regarding the virus or vaccine that doesn’t come from “official sources” or “trusted partners” must be suppressed and withheld from the public dialogue for the “good of society.” Yet, there are thousands of doctors worldwide, heads of major hospitals, and learned scientists (INCLUDING Dr. Robert Malone, the inventor of the mRNA vaccine technology) who have jeopardized their reputations and careers by questioning the messaging coming from the government. These experts have been discredited, censored, and/or de-platformed.
WHY?
This week we learned that the White House and Office of the Surgeon General are working directly with Facebook and other social media platforms to “flag” what they classify as “disinformation” regarding the virus and the vaccine. We also learned that the Biden administration and the Democratic National Committee want cellphone carriers to censor our text messages. Yep, that’s right. Your text messages would be blocked if you say the “wrong” thing. And, according to the Biden administration, it’s being done “for our protection, to keep us safe, and for the health of our nation.”
WHY?
I know…I know. There’s the argument that these social media platforms and cellphone carriers are private companies, and they have a “right” to filter what is disseminated on their platforms. But this is the first time in the history of our country, that the government ADMITS they are telling these companies WHAT to flag and censor. The Biden administration is essentially saying, “Oh, WE’RE not censoring you, those private companies are. Besides, get over it! It’s for YOUR protection.”
Just this week, a friend posted the FACT that a fully-vaccinated family member got COVID. His post was REMOVED within two hours. Yet, at the same time, you can go to Facebook, YouTube, or any search engine and find posts, images, and videos of pedophilia, sex trafficking, child abuse and animal abuse.
WHY?
Now, let’s move on to the elections.
If election integrity is sacred to our democracy, why are Democrats against forensic audits and why are they trying to keep the audits from moving forward? If there’s nothing to be afraid of, and it’s all a “de-bunked conspiracy theory,” why not be all FOR the audits and let those calling for them be embarrassed when nothing is found?
WHY?
In recent polls, 80% of Americans support and are in favor of voter integrity laws and voter ID. Yet, we constantly hear from the left that these laws are racist and, as Biden himself said, racist voting laws make “Jim Crow look like Jim Eagle.” Um…ok, Mr. President. Your revisionist history seems to ignore the fact that it was Democrats who passed Jim Crow laws in the first place. VP Kamala Harris said that people in rural areas have no access to Kinko’s or Office Max and therefore can’t make copies of their ID. She seems to ignore the fact that practically every person on the planet has a phone that can take a picture.
Why do they gaslight us on this?
WHY?
Let’s move on to our legal system.
Why do we have a two-tiered justice system in this country? U.S. House Representative, Joyce Beatty, (D-OH) got special treatment. She, along with eight far-left activists stormed the Senate Hart Office building in the Capitol to protest for voting rights. She violated the same rules the protestors did on Jan. 6th. Yet, after she was arrested, she was released soon thereafter. However, over 20 Trump supporters who entered the Capitol on January 6th are STILL, six months later, languishing in solitary confinement WITHOUT TRIAL. Why is she being treated differently?
WHY?
Why was the prosecutor’s probe into Hunter Biden’s shady overseas business dealings delayed just before the presidential election? Emails released from his laptop indicate that Joe Biden, the “Big Guy” as referred to in the emails, got a 10% kickback from his Chinese business arrangement. Does anyone think explosive information like that would have been suppressed if it were Donald Trump or any member of HIS family?
WHY?
I don’t have the answers. But I do believe there ARE answers. We just aren’t allowed to KNOW them.
We need to wake up, folks. America has a serious problem. We need to stand together in this. Our freedoms are being taken away right before our eyes under the cover of “it’s for the good of society.”
WHY?
I’m reminded of one of my favorite lines from Charles Dickens’, A Christmas Carol. When the Ghost of Christmas Present takes Scrooge to visit the Cratchit family, Scrooge asks the Ghost if seriously ill Tiny Tim will live. The Ghost replies, “If these shadows remain unaltered by the Future, the child will die.”
I’m afraid that applies to our country, as well. If we allow these shadows of tyranny to remain unaltered by the Future, our country, as founded, will die.
