On August 8, 2023, a devastating wildfire ripped through the Hawaiian town of Lahaina on the island of Maui. The loss of life and property is unfathomable. The disaster struck close to our family's heart because my wife's cousin married a man from Lahaina and he still has many relatives there. One of his nephews is missing and a niece with four young children lost her home.
There are many, many reports coming from Maui residents that the government has been totally unresponsive and the "authorities" in charge are incompetent.
For example, warning sirens that are tested every month were not activated, no emergency text messages were sent to phones, water from reservoirs was diverted away from the fire leaving hydrants empty, children were sent home from school without notice to parents, and escape roads were barricaded.
Emotions are running high over what happened in Maui. Here is a video showing a sampling of news from citizen journalists. It is obvious in the video that these residents do NOT trust the "authorities" or the media. They are furious that their own government is actually restricting the delivery of any relief supplies that aren't approved by FEMA or the Red Cross.
I came across a story from Associated Press that caused me to think about how we tend to blindly follow an "authority." In this article, fleeing residents who tried to get out of town found that the ONLY road out was barricaded by the police. Car after car was forced to turn around and head back into the raging wildfire in Lahaina, only to find themselves trapped on three sides by the fire with only the rocky ocean as an escape route. Many of those people were trapped in a traffic jam and burned to death in their cars. Some people made it into the ocean where they treaded water for hours. There were, however, several people who ignored the authorities, dodged the barricades, and ultimately survived.
In another heartbreaking incident of following authority, a mother raced back toward the raging fire to try and save her son whom she believed was trapped in their house. Police stopped her and turned her away, assuring her that the area had been cleared and nobody was in the houses in that area.
For the next two days, the boy's family searched shelters and survivor camps with no success. Then two family friends arrived with bad news. The friends had gone around the barricades and snuck into the burned-out home. What they found was the charred remains of the 15-year old son, who was lying next to the remains of the family dog.
This all, for me at least, begs the question: what makes the authority "experts" in knowing what is best for me and my family? Obviously, in Lahaina, many who did comply with authorities lost loved ones or perished themselves. Many who didn't comply survived.
Which brings us to the next big compliance dilemma that is materializing on the horizon...
Authorities are already pumping up the COVID 2.0 fear by saying a new variant is starting to take hold and will require going back to lockdowns, masks, social distancing and vaccines.
Isn't it curious that this is happening just as we're about a year out from the 2024 election? To quote the famous Yogi Berra, "It's like déjà vu all over again."
Let's just recap what we've learned about COVID over the last three years that is contrary to what the so-called "government authorities" (who initially baited us with the "two weeks to flatten the curve" idea) told us:
The vaccine does NOT prevent infection from the COVID virus;
The vaccine does NOT stop the spread of the COVID virus:
Natural immunity IS as effective as the vaccine.
We also learned that anyone who questioned the science behind the experimental mRNA vaccine was censored, shunned and blackballed. Qualified medical doctors who advocated for common therapeutics lost their licenses to practice medicine.
We learned that vaunted “medical professionals” and corporate hospitals denied life-saving organ transplants and other medical procedures to patients if they were unvaccinated. Many died as a result.
Now we're learning that it's all about to start up again. We know that the Biden administration is already recommending a new mRNA vaccine for all Americans "no matter whether they've got it before or not."
The new variant from which they want to "protect" us is nicknamed "Eris." Eris was the Greek goddess of strife, discord, contention and rivalry. I just have to laugh because you can't make this stuff up.
Are we really ready for this again?
One of the big red flags of the COVID pandemic vaccine push was the idea of "informed consent." Many doctors and physicians around the world believe that the vaccine push and the vaccine mandates were a violation of the Nuremberg Code. This is the international law that came out of World War II, establishing a set of principles on the conducting of human medical experimentation. It guarantees that we have a right to “informed consent.”
This means that a person has the legal capacity to give consent to any new or experimental drug or treatment. As defined in the Code, "A person should always be able to exercise free power of choice, without the intervention of any element of force, fraud, deceit, duress, overreaching, or other ulterior form of constraint or coercion; and should have sufficient knowledge and comprehension of the elements of the subject matter involved as to enable him to make an understanding and enlightened decision before taking any new or experimental medical treatment."
Remember the vaccine mandates? Remember how many thousands of people lost their jobs because they opted to not take the vaccine? Remember how the public was bribed, coerced and shamed into taking an experimental vaccine? Were we truly informed?
NO.
We get informed all the time on certain drugs. Watch this commercial that you've no doubt seen on TV a hundred times. Out of the total 1-1/2 minute commercial, nearly 60 seconds of it are life-threatening or life-altering side effects:
Do you ever recall that we were told that the mRNA vaccines could cause life-threatening side effects like Guillain-Barre Syndrome, Bell's Palsy, thrombosis (blood clots), thrombocytopenia, pericarditis, myocarditis, or even sudden death?
NO.
So, are you ready to play their game again? Do the "authorities" give you a sense of comfort?
My personal feeling is that I will question everything I'm being told by an "expert," the media, or the government.
And before I make any decision for my own or my family's well-being, I want to know:
Does what I'm being told make sense?
Is there an obvious intent to purposely frighten me?
Am I being coerced or incentivized into taking a certain action?
Will I be punished for NOT taking a certain action?
Are all sides of a position being shown, or are opposing opinions being censored?
Does it feel right in my gut?
Does that "still, small voice" inside me agree with the action?
These are the questions you should ask yourself when the authorities and "experts" demand that you do what they want.
Make up your own mind. Do what you feel is best for your own health and safety.
I will not blindly accept something I'm told.
Unless, and until, these questions are answered to my satisfaction, I am adopting a policy of peaceful non-compliance.
