And the wonderful news just keeps on coming! Here are some stories you may not have seen.
It’s getting pretty obvious that Joe Biden’s handlers at the White House get nervous when he goes off-script. We already know that for press briefings, he's given lists of the only journalists he is to call on. But now it’s gotten to the point that whoever is controlling the video and audio feed at the White House actually has to be prepared to cut the livestream when he starts to go awry.
This particular incident occurred last week at a meeting with state and federal fire agency officials regarding the wildfires out west. At the end of the briefing, President Biden went off-script and decided to ask a question. Can you imagine being in charge of gaffe-prevention and sitting in the video control room when your boss starts to veer off course? Hit the button! HIT THE BUTTON!!!
It’s gotten so bad that the subject of Biden’s mike being cut came up in a Congressional committee hearing when Sen. James Risch grilled Secretary of State Antony Blinken about who is actually making decisions in the White House. He even asks Blinken who has the authority to cut the mike of the President. Blinken laughs and says Biden “speaks very clearly and very deliberately for himself.” Sorry, Mr. Blinken, but I think that's exactly the problem.
As for “speaking clearly,” it’s apparent that Biden has trouble remembering names. In a video conference call from the White House last week announcing a trilateral security arrangement between the U.S., the United Kingdom and Australia, Biden couldn’t remember the name of the Australian Prime Minister, Scott Morrison. The President awkwardly referred to him as “that fella from Down Under.” And, in typical Biden-speak, he went on to say, “Thank you very much, pal.”
Needless to say, Australians were somewhat taken aback by the faux pas but are trying to take it all in stride. They’re even giving Biden credit for creating a new nickname and hashtag when speaking of their Prime Minister. Prime Minister Morrison is now referred to as #ThatFellaDownUnder.
Back in July, the U.S. military abandoned the Bagram Air Base in the dead of night without notifying the Afghan army commander. Not only was the Bagram Air Base a strategic air field located 30 miles from Kabul, it was also a prison holding nearly 5,000 enemy combatants. As we know, the Taliban took over the base shortly after it was abandoned and they subsequently freed all the prisoners.
Reports now are coming out that the suicide bomber who killed 13 U.S. soldiers and 169 Afghan civilians was one of those released from Bagram Air Base.

How could we not include the leftist media darling and champion of the little people, Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez in our news round-up? As you've probably seen by now, she attended the $35,000 per person Met Gala wearing a custom designer dress imprinted with the words "TAX THE RICH." In case you haven't seen it, here it is:

Not only is it ironic that she now faces House of Representatives ethics complaints for accepting such a lavish gift, it could go even further afoul of House ethics if it is shown that she used campaign funds to buy the ticket and dress.
And, as they say in late-night infomercials, "But wait! There's more." It turns out that the designer, Aurora James, who created the dress for AOC is a tax evader. Investigations into the designer show that she owes $14,798 in back taxes to the sate of New York, and has $103,220 in federal tax liens filed against her. She owns a $1.6 million dollar home in Woodland Hills, California on which she owes $2,504 in property taxes. Plus, she doesn't mind taking money from taxpayers as her company took over $41,000 in pandemic relief aid. That must be why AOC labeled the designer, "working class."
While we're on the subject of the Met Gala, it's an opportune time to point out, yet again, how rules are only meant for the little people. While the Hollywood and liberal elite attended the gala mask-free, all the servers were required to be masked. Even liberal Bill Maher mocked the double standard by asking if the "germs know who the good people are?"
And not only are the Hollywood and political elites exempt from rules, evidently so are the global elites. The United Nations General Assembly will convene next week but are exempt from New York's COVID protocols.

The same thing happened at the Emmy awards that took place in Hollywood this past Sunday. Los Angeles County health officials stated that the mask-less Emmys did NOT violate mask mandates because "exceptions were made for Hollywood actors."
But, while all the elites are exempt from having to do what the rest of us have to do, we have this example of child abuse. A toddler in a New York day care is crying because he is being FORCED to wear a mask when he has a statistically ZERO chance of getting COVID.
When we are doing this to children and dragging two-year-old kids off of planes, we've gone too far.
There is a children's book written by Judith Viorst entitled, Alexander and the Terrible, Horrible, No Good, Very Bad Day. Well, this past weekend ended up being Joe Biden's terrible, horrible, no good, very bad day. Three very bad things happened.
The first piece of bad news was that the Pentagon had to admit they lied to the American people. They finally confessed that they botched the Afghanistan drone strike. They had originally claimed that the strike killed two ISIS-K operatives; but instead it killed ten innocents, including seven children. What General Milley originally called a "righteous strike" is now officially a horrible tragedy.

The second piece of bad news was that, after announcing that Australia was scrapping a deal with France to build conventional submarines in favor of nuclear submarines with the aid of the U.S., France recalled its ambassador.
What is significant about this is that it is an unprecedented show of anger from our oldest ally. (You might think that Britain is our oldest ally, but remember that France helped us in fighting the Revolutionary War against Britain in 1776.) France has NEVER recalled an ambassador from the United States and it is yet another sign of our deteriorating relationship among our allies. #BidenEffect
The third piece of bad news was that, after the administration has been touting booster shots, the FDA resoundingly voted 16 to 2 AGAINST approving booster shots for the general public between the ages of 16 and 65. Could there be anything they aren't telling us?
Speaking of which, is the COVID narrative and Biden's vaccine mandate falling apart?
There are countless articles documenting people refusing the vax and jeopardizing their livelihoods. Coupled with the fact that the rules are not being equitably applied (e.g., to Congress), things appear to be on shaky ground.
One of the unintended consequences of the vaccine mandates is that they are exacerbating already existing healthcare staff shortages. At least 125 employees of the Indiana University Health System have lost their jobs as a result of refusing the COVID-19 jab. This is only one instance among many that is happening all over the country.
Well, it turns out that maybe the tide is turning. A hospital in Nebraska is posting a job ad for nurses touting that being vaccinated is NOT a requirement and, in addition, they will pay a $5,000 signing bonus. Maybe the Indiana nurses can move to Nebraska?

Finally, this from the "This Will Make You Look Twice" department.
Remember how, after every Super Bowl game, someone would ask the winning quarterback what they were going to do after they just won the big game? The quarterback would answer, "I'm going to Disneyworld!"
"Hey, Hibatullah Akhundzada! What are you going to do now that you've just defeated the most powerful nation on the planet and your terrorist organization has taken over Afghanistan?"

(Head of the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan)
"I'm going to TalibanWorld!"

There's something disconcerting about seeing Taliban in swan pedal boats. Look twice and you'll see they are pedaling while holding AK-47s and rocket-propelled grenade launchers. Yes, these pictures are real!!
