I've always been a fan of of the 1960's TV series, The Twilight Zone. I vividly remember the show's narrator, Rod Serling, opening every episode with the line, "You've just crossed over into the Twilight Zone."
With those words, what followed were episodes filled with cheesy production (by today's standards), old school dialogue, and some hammy acting by future stars like Ron Howard, Robert Duvall, Robert Redford, Carol Burnett, Burt Reynolds, and William Shatner. But what was fascinating about each episode was how there was always a quirky plot line with a surprising twist at the end that made you think about things in a different way.
Here's a walk down memory lane with the classic show opener:
Well, 60+ years after this series first aired on our television sets, we are living in the updated, modern version of The Twilight Zone. And instead of waiting for a new episode to be aired each week, we are now "lucky" enough to be able to binge-watch our Twilight Zone 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.

Synopsis: Men can pretend to be women to entertain our children in schools and compete in women's sports.
In the modern Twilight Zone, you are required to pretend with them. And if you don't, you're called transphobic and un-American.
Synopsis: When Russians interfere in our elections, it's BAD.
But, here in the Twilight Zone, when ILLEGALS and non-citizens vote in our elections, it's GOOD!
Synopsis: The Vice President of the United States stands up against corruption by threatening to withhold one billion dollars of loan guarantees from the government of Ukraine if they don't fire a prosecutor who was investigating corruption involving the VPs own son.
Several years later. President Trump takes office. He stands up to corruption by asking the president of Ukraine to look into what happened when that prosecutor was fired. In this alternate dimension, he is impeached for simply asking the question. Weird.
Synopsis: The Left demands that black Americans who are descendants of slaves be compensated for the country's sin of slavery.
Only in the Twilight Zone does it make sense for people who never owned slaves to be forced to pay reparations to people who never were slaves.
Synopsis: Joe Biden tries to fulfill a campaign pledge to permanently forgive up to $43 billion in student loans. However, the Supreme Court rules 6-3 against the scheme, stating the he overstepped his authority. Not to be deterred, Biden looks to circumvent the Supreme Court.
Joe Biden believes it makes sense for hard-working Americans to pay to forgive student loans. Only in the Twilight Zone should people who don't have student loans, or who worked three jobs to pay off their college loans, or who couldn't afford to go to college in the first place be forced to pay off others' debts.
Synopsis: Illegal immigrants with polio, tuberculosis, and other communicable diseases walk across the southern border and are welcomed into our country.
In the Twilight Zone, world champion tennis player, Novak Djokovic, is denied entry into our country because unvaccinated foreigners aren't permitted to fly into the U.S. He has to withdraw from the Miami Open. Maybe he could've played in the tournament had he walked in from Mexico.
Synopsis: Rigorous vetting of people wanting to LEGALLY emigrate to the United States can be a years-long process.
In the Twilight Zone, any illiterate gangbanger, terrorist, and drug dealer can wade across the Rio Grande and be welcomed by border patrol. They'll even cut the razor-wire fence to let them in.
Synopsis: Violent anti-Semites threaten to rape and kill Jewish students at Cornell University, prompting increased police patrols. When White House Press Secretary Karine Jean-Pierre is asked if she would label the protestors as "extremists," she refuses to do so.
But yet, parents who show up at school board meetings to protest gender ideology and same-sex bathrooms are labeled domestic terrorists by the DOJ. Somehow that's more dangerous in the Twilight Zone.
Synopsis: When Joe Biden takes office, he claims that walls don't work and "not another foot" of border wall would be build under his watch. But as news is delivered that 10 million illegals have crossed the border since 2020, the Biden administration reluctantly agrees to build a twenty-mile section along the border. It's too bad that Joe Biden already auctioned off the stockpiled border wall materials for pennies on the dollar.
Speaking of money, it's estimated that the cost to build a border wall the entire length of the southern border is $11 billion dollars. "Too expensive!!" the Democrats say. But in this episode of the Twilight Zone, it makes sense to leave OUR borders wide open and spend $113 billion to protect Ukraine's border. (Just for fun, here's how the money breaks down for Ukraine: $113 billion equals $6.8 billion per month...which equals $223 million per day in TZ dollars.)
Synopsis: In this episode we learn about gender:
per Planned Parenthood and the left, is hard-wired and determined at birth.
According to the Trans Movement--Gender is fluid, and a person can be any of 107 different genders.
Yet, in this episode of the Twilight Zone, the LGBTQIA2S+ movement (lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender and/or gender expansive, queer and/or questioning, intersex, asexual, and two-spirit) demands that we believe BOTH of these at once. And if you don't, you're a bigoted homophobe.
Synopsis: In major cities, dangerous criminals are caught and released, only to turn right around and hurt more people. Prosecuting these criminals is seen to be a violation of THEIR rights by George Soros-backed district attorneys.
In this episode of The Twilight Zone, we get to see that KARMA is alive and well. One of those aforementioned DAs in Oakland CA, had her laptop stolen in a car burglary. She called the police and they never showed up.
Synopsis: The three R's ("Reading, wRiting, and aRithmetic") are considered to be the most basic of skills needed for high-school graduates to become functioning members of society.
In this episode, the woke progressive left has decided that requiring the mastery of basic reading, writing, and math skills in order to graduate is racist. Evidently, it's too big a "hurdle" for members of "marginalized communities" to be able to clear. I guess in the Twilight Zone, this is how you help "marginalized communities" become even less "marginalized."
Synopsis: In 1948, the state of Israel was specifically formed by the United Nations to protect the Jews from further persecution in Europe during World War II. On October 7, 2023, Israel was attacked by Hamas terrorists who committed heinous crimes against humanity. Obviously, Israel has a right to defend itself. But, when Israel does defend itself, pseudo-intellectuals demand that the terrorists who committed these atrocities be protected from the country who is trying to protect itself.
Synopsis: Watch this video if you really want to look deep into the Twilight Zone abyss. But be forewarned that you won't like what is looking back at you.
We truly are living in an upside-down world where right is wrong, wrong is right, moral is immoral, and immoral is moral.
As Rod Serling so eloquently summed up in one of the original episodes:
"We know that a dream can be real, but who ever thought that reality could be a dream? We exist, of course, but how, in what way? As we believe, as flesh-and-blood human beings, or are we simply parts of someone's feverish, complicated nightmare? Think about it, and then ask yourself, do you live here, in this country, in this world, or do you live, instead — in The Twilight Zone?"
