Belly of the Beast

The Trojans learned the hard way.

The Roman poet, Virgil, in his classic epic, The Aeneid, tells the story of a fruitless, 10-year siege by the Greeks on the city of Troy. In a crafty plan to bring the war to an end, the Greeks built a magnificent structure in the shape of a horse. The inside of the horse was left hollow and large enough to conceal a small force of Greek soldiers. The Greeks wheeled the horse to the gates of Troy and then the rest of the army boarded their ships and sailed away. The Trojans, thinking this was a parting gift from the Greeks and that the siege was over, wheeled the horse inside the city to celebrate their victory. However, that night, the Greek soldiers crept from inside the belly of the beast, and opened the city gates to the rest of the Greek army, who had sailed back under cover of darkness. The city of Troy was destroyed and the Greeks triumphed.

There is more to the story, however. A priest tried to warn the Trojans that the gift horse was a trick, and he begged them to set fire to it. Had they taken his advice and looked the "gift horse in the mouth," they would have exposed the strategy and saved themselves.

There is a very similar ploy being used in our country today. Although it isn't as covert as the Trojan Horse, it is surely just as dangerous.

The strategy is called "Cloward-Piven." It is a political-economic blueprint developed in 1966 by Richard Cloward and Frances Fox Piven, husband/wife Columbia professors and liberal socialist activists. The goal of Cloward-Piven was to bring about the end of capitalism by establishing a guaranteed annual income and generating a massive influx of the poor onto welfare rolls. The intent of the method they proposed was to institute chaos and overwhelm the system; thereby creating a crisis that only the government could "solve."

Even though their plan didn't bear fruit at that point in history, Cloward and Piven did continue their social activism by pushing the idea that the disenfranchised, low-income members of society should be registered to vote when they apply for welfare, food stamps, Medicaid, unemployment benefits and driver’s licenses. This led to the passage of the Motor Voter Bill in 1993.

The Cloward-Piven strategy is still in use today. Like the Trojan horse, it has been wheeled into our country; and an unsettling number of our fellow citizens have welcomed the "gift" of government control in hopes of solving our problems. The same tactics of overwhelming and collapsing the system are being used by the progressives to subvert and undermine our Constitutional republic, with the goal of ushering in a socialist "utopia."

Let's get a bit more specific.

Listed below are the original four steps outlined in the Cloward-Piven strategy, along with current examples of recent government actions:

1. Overload and break the welfare system.

  • Pass a $4.7 TRILLION bill for Covid-19 relief money;

  • Extend Federal unemployment benefits;

  • Expand the food stamp program;

  • Allow/encourage millions of illegal immigrants to flood the border, and provide them with healthcare benefits and welfare payments.

2. Allow chaos to ensue.

  • Employ mainstream media to cause fear and panic with a pandemic (e.g., go from "15 days to stop the spread" to "three jabs to keep your job");

  • Allow runaway inflation and higher consumer prices;

  • Allow "mostly peaceful" BLM and Antifa riots to burn cities to the ground, while telling police to stand down;

  • Defund the police;

  • Hype climate catastrophe;

  • Create labor shortages by paying people not to work.

3. Take control in the chaos.

  • Use "science" to develop rules and protocols to keep everyone "safe;"

  • Control the dissemination of information, making sure all dissenting opinions are censored and quashed;

  • Use the media to amplify government propaganda.

4. Implement socialism and communism through government force.

  • Issue draconian rules that shut down small businesses, but allow big business to flourish;

  • Create executive orders and bureaucratic regulations to direct desired behavior (e.g., what you can buy, what you can eat, what you must wear, what drugs you can and cannot put in your body, etc.);

  • Monitor your personal banking transactions;

  • Increase surveillance on private citizens under the guise of preventing "domestic terrorism."

Now, let's look beyond these four steps, and see how there is another strategy being used to further the goal of "transforming" America. This additional strategy involves "eight levels of control" needed to achieve a socialist state. Although this list has been well-circulated, it's not attributable to anyone in particular; but rather seems to be a modern-day reiteration of communist guidelines that date back to the early 1900's. These are the areas the government seeks to control:

  1. Healthcare – Control healthcare and you control the people.

  2. Poverty – Increase the poverty level as high as possible; poor people are easier to control and will not fight back if you are providing everything for them to live.

  3. Debt – Increase the debt to an unsustainable level. That way, you are able to increase taxes and produce more poverty.

  4. Gun Control – Remove the ability of citizens to defend themselves from the government, which enables the creation of a police state.

  5. Welfare – Take control of every aspect of people's lives (food, housing, and income).

  6. Education – Take control of what people read and listen to, and control what children learn in school. Teach them that America is systemically racist and its founding is flawed.

  7. Religion – Remove the belief in God from the government and schools.

  8. Class Warfare – Divide and separate people into the wealthy vs. poor, black vs. white, vaxxed vs. un-vaxxed, etc.

It's virtually impossible to deny that these strategies are being used in our country today. This is our Trojan Horse. The beast is already inside our gates. Do we see the danger and set fire to it?

Or do we wait for the enemy to climb out of the belly and destroy us?

It doesn't matter if you're Republican or Democrat, liberal or conservative, black or white, hetero or LGBTQ++. If you are an American, we need to lock arms and stand against this Marxist attack on our country.

Remember, their game is over when we all stand up.
