Bread and Circuses

Governments' attempt to control and exert power over the masses has been an on-going theme for millennia.

And one method they have used throughout history is to control the very thing that every human being requires...FOOD.

"Give them bread and circuses and they will never revolt." - Decimus Junius Juvenalis

This ancient Roman poet used the phrase "bread and circuses" to describe how the Roman citizens were governed--not by excellence in public service, but by superficial appeasement of their grievances via free food and distractions.

These days, food is once again "on the table" -- but it is the shortage of it that is rapidly becoming a concern.

Let's take a look at what's been happening:

On March 24, 2022, Joe Biden announced that, due to the war in Ukraine, there were going to be food shortages. And he says that these food shortages are "gonna be real"-- not only in Russia and Europe, but in our country, as well.

In Biden's statement, he said the shortages are being caused by the war in Ukraine. In other words, it's all Russia's fault! (He says the same thing about high gasoline prices, sky-high inflation, pending economic recession, and Hunter Biden's laptop story. But, I digress.)

Is it really Russia's fault?

I'm not so sure. If you recall, the U.S. was in the middle of a supply chain "crisis" before Russia invaded Ukraine.

It is true that Ukraine and Russia, together, supply nearly 25% of the world's wheat and, because of the war, that supply is disrupted.

But there's something else very strange that has been happening. Some of us "dissidents" are daring to suggest that these food shortages are perhaps being orchestrated to further control the population.

Have you heard about the mysterious rash of fires and accidents at food processing plants?

Here is a list of food processing plants that have exploded, burned down or experienced "accidents," going back to January of 2021. (Note how many have happened since Joe Biden announced food shortages.)

And most recently on April 30, 2022, a fire broke out at a Perdue Farms facility in Chesapeake, Virginia.

Oddly enough, within a week, not one, but two planes crashed into food processing plants; one in Georgia, and the other in Idaho.

I know. You're probably saying, "Come on--these events are all just accidents. No one in their right mind would deliberately cause food shortages in this country."

I admit that it is speculation to claim that all of these incidents are related. But given the already existing supply chain crisis, the war in Ukraine, and Joe Biden telling us to EXPECT food shortages, it seems more than just coincidence that our critical food infrastructure is burning to the ground.

Let's look a little deeper into some more "coincidences"...

The sanctions on Russia are blocking the import of many goods, including fertilizer. U.S. farmers import nearly $1 billion in fertilizer annually. But now, this critical lack of fertilizer will decrease crop yields, delay plantings, cause the rationing of supplies, and most definitely increase food prices.

The situation for farmers is further complicated by the fact that Union Pacific railroad has decided to curtail shipments of available fertilizer by 20%. This decision couldn't come at a worse time.

But not to worry--a top official in the Biden regime, Samantha Power, is happy about the fertilizer shortage. She says that it will provide farmers the opportunity to "hasten" their "transition" from fertilizer to more "natural" resources. (Hmm...sounds like the Great Reset in action,)

And, oh yeah. To make matters even worse, there is now an epidemic of avian flu infecting the country's chickens and turkeys. 23 million birds have been culled wiping out farms all across the country.

Finally, on top of everything, the Biden regime announced on April 20, 2022, that it would pay farmers more money NOT to plant crops in order to incentivize them to take land out of production. This is being billed as part of the broader, government-wide effort to cut greenhouse gas emissions in half by 2030. Because of climate change. Of course.

SO. Is all this a coordinated effort to orchestrate massive food shortages? Is there a plan by the World Economic Forum to "reset" the global food and agricultural industries and the human diet?

I don't know about you, but it seems to me that there are too many "coincidences" to ignore.

You might be inclined to say that governments never intentionally create famine to starve their own people, right?

Oh, wait. Yes, they have..

In 1921 to 1922, Vladimir Lenin's "famine" starved 5 million people to death.

From 1930 to 1932, Josef Stalin's "famine" starved 3.9 million people to death.

From 1958 to 1962, Mao Zedong's "famine" starved 45 million people to death.

Seems like food shortages and dictators go hand-in-hand.

But that can't happen here, you say, because our government doesn't own the food supply!

Well, that's true, they don't.

But Bill Gates owns a lot of it.

Yes, Bill Gates has been acquiring American farmland for years and is the largest owner of agricultural acreage in this country.

And guess who else is buying up our farmland, food processing plants, and seed producers?

China.

China has been buying 30 or more farms per year in California, Arizona, Texas, Missouri, Oklahoma and elsewhere. It has also made some other strategic purchases like buying Virginia-based Smithfield Foods, the nation’s largest pork producer; and Syngenta, the world’s largest maker of crop protection chemicals and the No.3 seed producer.

In further breaking news, Indonesia has just curtailed the export of palm oil. Palm oil is one of the world’s most ubiquitous food commodities; and is found in candy bars, ice cream, pizza dough and cooking oil. It is about to get significantly harder to obtain.

Come on, man! This all sounds like a bunch of crazy talk. America would NEVER orchestrate food shortages to purposefully inflict pain and starvation on its own people.

Ah, not so fast.

In 1873, three million buffalo were killed as a means of starving Native Americans into submission. Even though it was never "official" government policy, it was known that the Native Americans would never submit to life behind a plow on a reservation as long as there were buffalo to hunt. So the U.S. Army set about to exterminate the buffalo and starve the "savages" into submission.

In more recent history, former Secretary of State, Madeline Albright, in an interview on CBS 60 Minutes in 1996, openly admitted that the starvation deaths of 500,000 Iraqi children by means of sanctions against Saddam Hussein, was "worth it."

This is what's taking place today as the result of the sanctions on Russia. Food shortages threaten millions of people worldwide with famine and starvation.

Don't think for a minute that our government, or the World Economic Forum, isn't capable of orchestrating something this diabolical. If the elites who want to control the masses think that death and starvation is "worth it," it will happen.

They will make us dependent on them for basic human sustenance, while continuing to distract us with whatever media "circus" dominates the news cycle. (Just look at the circus surrounding Elon Musk's purchase of Twitter and the Johnny Depp/Amber Heard trial, as recent examples.)

It's their misdirection that keeps us from seeing how this country is purposefully being destroyed. Their ultimate goal is more and more government control over our everyday lives.

So what can we do? How do we prepare for what IS coming? Remember that Joe Biden said these shortages are "gonna be real."

My suggestion is to, first of all, be aware. Don't get distracted by the circus. Pay attention to what is going on around you. Do your own critical thinking and don't buy what is being sold to you by the mainstream media and the government.

Secondly, make plans to stock up a bit on food. When you go to the grocery store, buy a few extra storable items and tuck them away in your pantry. My family has invested in a supply of non-perishable "prepper" foods. If you want to look into that option, you can find more information here and here.

I have a feeling that things are going to become even more unstable in the very near future. The upcoming May 7th release of Dinesh D'Souza's movie, 2000 Mules will prove the extent of voter fraud in the 2020 election. Also, with the late-breaking news that the Supreme Court plans to vote to overturn Roe v. Wade, protests have already begun.

Get ready. The circus is coming to town!

We are living in interesting times.

The evil was not in bread and circuses, per se, but in the willingness of the people to sell their rights as free men for full bellies and the excitement of the games which would serve to distract them from the other human hungers which bread and circuses can never appease.

-Marcus Tullius Cicero
